Death of the Provincial Grand MasterThe Provincial Grand Lodge of Durham has suffered the tragic loss of its highly respected and much loved Provincial Grand Master who died on Wednesday 27th February 2008. Rt. W. Bro Derek Richmond was initiated into Lodge of Philanthropy No. 940 on 16th December 1976, following his Installation into the Chair of his Lodge as Worshipful Master; he held many senior positions in Provincial Grand Lodge and in United Grand Lodge. He was installed as Provincial Grand Master on 5th May 2006. To these positions he brought his own style of commitment, vision and compassion. He will be sadly missed. Our sympathy is extended to his family at this time of sadness. |
